About Sioux Falls Local

Sioux Falls Local is a business directory for Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is owned and operated by Zvario LLC, a South Dakota company, and it is run by Dan Johnston.

Why this exists

Most local directories are unreadable. They load slowly, they bury the phone number under three adverts, and half the time the page is blank until a script finishes running. Sioux Falls Local is the opposite of that on purpose: plain pages, real addresses, a phone number you can tap, and nothing that needs to load before you can read it.

Where the listings come from

Listings are compiled from public business records. We publish name, street address, phone number, category, opening hours and location, and that is the entire list.

We do not publish reviews, star ratings, review counts or photographs. Two reasons. The first is that a review belongs to the person who wrote it, not to us and not to whoever aggregated it. The second matters more: publishing a rating from years ago that a business has no way to correct is unfair to that business, and we would rather list nothing than list something misleading.

We also do not publish business email addresses, even where we could find one. Putting a working email on a public page is an invitation to every scraper on the internet, and no business asked us to do that to them.

Many listings have no website link, on purpose

We would rather a business owner tell us their own web address than guess at it and get it wrong. So when we build a listing from public records we leave the website off, and we ask. If one of these listings is yours, open it and use the update link, and the URL goes on the same day.

How to have a listing changed or removed

Changed: open the listing and use the update link. Tell us what is wrong. We fix it, usually the same day.

Removed: open the listing and press the removal button, or tell us here. You do not have to prove you own the business, you do not have to explain why, and you will not get an email trying to change your mind. It comes down the same day.

Removal is free and always will be. There is no paid tier that makes it faster and there never will be.

What Zvario LLC does

Worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to find out: Zvario LLC builds and hosts websites for small businesses, and does search and email work. This directory is not a sales page for that, and being listed here does not sign you up for anything. But we would rather tell you what we do than have you discover it later and wonder why we did not mention it.

If you ever want to talk about a website, we are easy to reach. If you never do, your listing stays exactly as it is.
