If you are looking for a doctor, a dentist or a clinic in Sioux Falls, this is where you are going, whether you meant to come here or not. Of the roughly 657 published listings in the near south, 426 are in Medical and Dental. No other part of the city is close.
The reason is two hospital campuses about two miles apart. Everything else here, the older housing, the parks, the small commercial strips, sits between them.
Two campuses, and why one address returns 86 results
1305 West 18th Street alone carries 86 of our listings, because the Sanford campus is a group of buildings sharing one street number. Sanford Cardiovascular Institute is next door at 1301 West 18th, and Sanford Laboratories is listed in the Van Demark Building at 1210 West 18th.
The Avera McKennan campus sits to the east, around 800 East 21st Street, 911 East 20th Street and 1000 East 21st Street. A listing there will usually name a plaza, a suite or a floor. Read the whole address line before you drive.
The park the area is named for
McKennan Park is at 400 East 26th Street. The blocks around it hold the oldest large houses in Sioux Falls, most of them built in the first half of the twentieth century, which is worth knowing before you hire anyone to work on one.
Where the everyday businesses are
South Minnesota Avenue is the commercial spine. Hy-Vee Grocery Store at 3000 South Minnesota, Boss' Pizza & Chicken at 2111, and a run of coffee and quick food along the same stretch. South Western Avenue is the second one, with Grille 26 at 1716, and The Dive and Pickle Barrel sharing 1612. Breadsmith is at 609 West 33rd Street.
Augustana and Spellerberg
Augustana University is at 2112 South Grange Avenue, and Viking Grounds is listed on the campus. Spellerberg Park is at 1401 South Western Avenue.

426 medical listings in one area means a plain category search here will not narrow anything, because the area is the concentration. Search the specific specialty, or the practice name if you have it.
Before you drive
Confirm which campus a clinic belongs to. Sanford and Avera both run clinics that carry the parent name and sit nowhere near the main hospital, and the street address is the only reliable way to tell them apart.
