57th Street, 69th Street and 85th Street run east to west and hold the area together. South Louise Avenue, South Minnesota Avenue and South Western Avenue run north to south across them. An address like 431 West 85th Street or 2210 West 69th Street places itself without any local knowledge.
Where the newer restaurants went
431 West 85th Street holds both Urban Chislic and Indian oven. 2210 and 2312 West 69th Street hold 22TEN Kitchen Cocktails and Gaucho Flame Brazilian Restaurant. Tinner's Public House is at 449 West 69th. Daily Clean Food and Drink is at 6215 South Western Avenue. The Clean Bean is at 550 West 85th.
Clinics cluster at a handful of addresses
6110 South Minnesota Avenue carries 12 of our listings by itself. 4400 West 69th Street and 6100 South Louise Avenue carry 8 and 7. As in the near south, these are single buildings holding many practices, so the suite number is the part of the address that decides where you walk in.
What families drive to
Look's Marketplace is at 500 East 69th Street. Walmart Supercenter is at 7821 South Minnesota Avenue. Sky Zone Trampoline Park is at 5129 South Solberg Avenue, and JJ's Axes And Ales is at 3016 West 57th Street. The fitness listings run down Louise: barre3 at 5035, Burn Boot Camp at 7640.
The parks here are new and small
Bakker Park at 6201 West 61st Street, Galway Park at 7420 West 64th Street, Platinum Valley Park at 7301 South Hughes Avenue. These are subdivision parks rather than the large old ones closer in, so check for the amenity you actually want before you make the drive.
What the age of the area means if you are hiring
New construction needs different trades than old construction. Out here that means landscaping on bare lots, fencing, basement finishing and concrete, rather than the repair and replacement an older house generates. Our concrete and landscaping listings for this area reflect exactly that.
